Project Sharing is Caring
Project ‘Sharing is Caring’ is a project in which we donate menstrual items to various organizations where women are in vulnerable phases.
The menstrual items have stickers showing our logo, QR that leads to the Bible and verse John 3:16.
The verse indicates as follows; “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” In this way we want to share the gospel with many women in different stages of life. Jesus Christ saw where there was need and was always the answer and solution for many. And that is what ‘Resilient Fervent Foundation’ stands for.
Did you know that many women in the Netherlands cannot purchase menstrual products? Is called menstrual poverty. Nearly 1 in 10 girls and women in the Netherlands experience menstrual poverty. But what exactly does that mean:
- Girls and women don’t have money to buy menstrual products.
- Sometimes a choice must be made between other necessities and the menstrual item
- You can purchase menstrual items, but not enough for the duration and severity of menstruation.
What happens when girls and women don’t have menstrual supplies? Toilet paper, rags and menstrual items are then reused. Girls don’t go to school and stay at home. Women who work the same. There is shame and risk of damage to self-image. Every month there is a new struggle to get through the period. vThis cannot continue any longer and that is why,
‘We NEED to share, because we care’!
